Raccoons to Giraffes

I knew this day was coming and even though I'v know for a while I still teared up when I got this email.

"Dear Amber and Trey,

I just wanted to inform you that Campbell will be moving up into the Giraffes on March 16th. She will be visiting the room the week before the move up. Ms. Lindsey, her new teacher, and I would like to meet with you next week. The purpose of this meeting is for you to meet Campbell’s new teacher and for us to answer any questions you may have about the transition, the new environment, etc. Ms. Lindsey is available to meet at 2:30 p.m. What day works for you next week?

We are going to miss Campbell very much but are really excited to see her advance to a new stage in her learning and cannot wait to see all of the amazing things she is going to accomplish.

Amber, thank you so much for all you have done for the Raccoons. We will miss having you as part of the Raccoon community as well.

Sincerely,

Aidee"

So after a week of slowly transitioning to the Giraffe's class today was the first full day. She was confused when we arrived at school and passed up her old room. She wanted to hang up her jacket on her raccoon cubby. We got to the door of the giraffe room and 3 girl ran up to her, older girls about 4 and 5 yrs, and told Miss C how pretty her hair bow was. This made her very happy. She clung to Ms. Lindsey's leg and cried a little when I left. (yes I'm crying writing this! ) I'll go pick her up at 4:30 and see how the first day turned out.

1st Trip to the Dentist

Hill Country Pediatric Dentistry, PA

I'm trying really hard to not pass on my  anxiety about the dentist and get Miss C off on a good foot with the dentist. We did a walk threw of the dentist prior to her first visit. She loved it and could not wait to go back. During her vist she did great but how could you not in this fun place! She got to watch Mickey Mouse in the Tree TV and get a bag of goodies and a balloon. To put a cherry on the cake she got a token and got to put it in a machine and pick a prize.

She got a great review. All her teeth are in and they look great. That was a surprise since she HATES brushing her teeth.

I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Hill Country Pedi Dentistry. They were wonderful, I want them to be my dentist!

Miss C likes pitchers! Texas Baseball

We have started a little tradition, more by coincidence than effort, of taking Campbell to the Texas v Stanford baseball game. This is her 3rd year in a row to attend this game!

Miss C has a new crush thanks to Miss Melissa. Here she is cheering for pitcher Kendal Carrillo. Like mother like daughter!

Campbell is working very hard to get her hook'em horns just right!

Texas won the series 2 out of 3!

zoom zoom spin out!

I had one of these as a kid and I don't recall having near this much speed. I have Miss C's geared down to the lowest speed and well look for your self it's fast!

Think Miss C needs a hemet? Actually after watching this I think I need a helmet as a bystander!

PS. I don't live in a swamp I was cleaning out the flower beds when Danica Patrick Jr started hot wheeling.

I'm an agist.

For as long as I can remember I thought 30 was old. I admit it I am a total agist! I not sure what I think will happen when I turn 30 but I know it gives me MAJOR anxiety. It's a mix of things, gravity is going to take effect, body parts just start heading south, metabolism is going to come to a screeching halt, I have to admit that going to have to put in a lot more "maintenance" time and I already don't like the time barley put in now! Do I need to start scrap-booking rather than blogging and hosting tea rather than cocktail hour? Do I have to ban MTV and watch WE (no offense Mom) but I'm not ready to give up Jeresy Shore for a movie where women steal each others babies!
Best case I'll be referred to as " she looks good for her age" rather than "she a hottie"

So you would think since I'm OBSESSED with being young I would do some age defying things right? I did the total opposite! I just bought an "old lady car" In Mr. T's defense he thought I lost my mind but I have since converted him to my way of thinking. We were both driving two huge gas guzzling chevys. I loved my tahoe but something need to go. We live in suburbia and in order to get off scrapbook island we have to drive about 20 miles each way (minimum). I thought we needed a fuel efficient car! So long story short I bought a 2012 Buick Regal! See I already know what you have pictured in your mind
This right???
This car screams young and sexy right?

When my friend Melissa asked me what kind of car I bought and I said a Buick she said oh wow an "old Lady car"

But hold your horses people the 2012 is actually really cute! I know it's still a Buick but I'm very proud of myself for buying practically rather than buying for my ego. As Mr. T pointed out I have had  5 new cars in the 5 years he has known me! Yeek! So Mr. T is driving the Tahoe and I'm proudly sporting the Buick.

Here is the new Momma Car:

2011 regal sedan sport

As if turning 30 is not bad enough now I'm driving an "old Lady car" and I ran across this blog that Elizabeth wrote about her "old Lady" car which is none other than your guessed it a Buick!
