Only in Texas

Only in Texas do you pose with a 1,400 pound steer! But that's not just any steer that's Bevo! If you know us or have read my blog for any length of time you know nothing comes between The Collins and Longhorn football! Not even the birth of twins!
Football season is in full swing around here. We have pre gamed at the UTGC Friday night tailgate parties

The Twins have attended their first Flo-Co tailgate party

Yes they each got their own fan!
We took our first ever RV trip to Ole Miss! The only way to road trip with kids, seriously! This trip will have a post of its own soon!

Trey and I even had our first date! Thanks to our new part time nanny Danielle (that's a other post as well!) We spent the day hosting our tailgate party

Football season in Austin is like a high school, college & family reunion for 11 fall weekends!

The New Saturday night

Cheers!

About 1 out of every 6 human beings on this planet lives in a third world slum. Slum life has many challenges including heavy population density, poor infrastructure, low income, illiteracy, scarcity of food, and a diverse array of health and sanitation issues, amongst the many others.
Ekatva is an experiment to touch the lives and spirit of 16 underprivileged children through dance and art, while inspiring the souls of thousands across the world. Sixteen children from some of the largest slums of Ahmedabad, Gujarat were selected through a nine month audition process, and have been trained and developed, by mentors from Manav Sadhna and teachers from Darpana Academy, to perform a 90-minute dance-drama production sharing Gandhiji’s message of ‘Oneness’. The children have begun to tour across India and will bring the show to the US, and UK the summer of 2012.
The EKATVA children are ambassadors of the potential and spirit of those 1 billion human beings around the globe who must constantly struggle to overcome difficulties and challenges that arise from their lack of resources. But yet there is hope.
Through this journey we hope to spread seeds of goodness and compassion throughout the world and inspire our global citizens to serve and care for those in need.

My little pug noses

The trade mark Collins nose I'll call it. Nixon is Campbell's mini me, they both have the Collins nose!
Today the twins are 43 days old so I dug up this picture of Campbell at the exact same age down to the day.
Nixon at one month weighs what Campbell weighed at birth 7.7

Knock Knock

I made it 3 weeks before I had to post a sign. The adrenaline is wearing off and lack of sleep is kicking in. You read it in every baby book, "sleep when the baby sleeps" it's true! I'm hard headed and always try to get something done on my to do list while the babies are asleep. I did not do this when Miss C was a newborn but I am attempting to do it with the twins. The trick is catching them both asleep at the same time for any length of time. So far the best time for a good nap is 8-11 am. There must be a light that comes on as soon as my head hits the pillow that says come on over! Be it solicitors or the neighbors. Some people ring the doorbell 5 times, never do that people... Never! Some people are polite and knock but I have two dogs who bark and it wakes us all.
The result of all this knocking & bell ringing is the sign! The fine print on the bottom ask to please call or text my cell phone rather than knock or ring the bell.
Now I'm off for some peaceful slumber, yeah right!
Speaking of sleep, we are working on getting Miss C into a good night time routine. She takes after her mothers side of the family, we are night owls. I'm realizing just what a commitment it is to make a schedule and stick to it!
So that's what's the Collins are up to, sleep, or lack there of.

Location:Week 3's top priority: sleep
