What I want for mothers day

I want to be your Super Mom.

I want to be the Momma who finds the perfect balance
between being your parent
and being your friend.

I want to be the Momma who says yes
when you ask me to go outside and  do flips,
or to build sand castles with you at the beach,
or get my hair wet at the pool,
or Ooo and Ahhh over your latest magic trick.

I want to be the Momma who throws the ball around in the backyard,
sings into a wooden spoon with the radio blasting,
and uses fun voices when I read your favorite books.

I want to be the Momma whose not afraid to make messes,
get my hands dirty,
or create a bit of chaos
all in the name of having fun with my little guy.

Then when you grow up and tell childhood stories to your own little family,
I hope that you will have fond memories
of my after school chewy chocolate chip cookies & "bear" milk,
my willingness to share my shoe collection,
and the fridge I made sure was always overflowing with your artwork.
to encourage you but not turn into a stage mom.
I know how much the little things make a difference.

The Mother's Day Note You Deserve

Better late than never right? We have not had internet since early last week so I did not get to post this till now. But it's never to late to celebrate motherhood. It comes in so many forms and styles, phases and is ever changing and challenging. To those of you who are mothers you get it with out it have to be explained that no words can ever describe what being a mother is like. I never thought the word selflessness sounded enjoyable. Let me tell you its a verb and thats what good mothers are, selfless. They put others first. That includes sitting on a cold tile floor for 20 minutes reading "Hand, Hand Fingers, thumb" for the 65th time this week while a two year old learns to poo on the potty!

Mother's Day Tea

Today the mothers were invited to SITH to have a tea party with our children. It was super special to get to spend the morning with my baby having tea and cucumber sandwiches! After we finished tea we went into the classroom and did Montessori work with the kids and had circle time. Last time Campbell was a total wallflower when I was in the room. Today she really participated in all the activities pulling me along to play too! When it was her turn to dance she jumped up and did a jig! I was so proud of her, she is really becoming a smart little girl. Where oh where did my clingy baby go? At the end of the day the kids gave all the mommies a little project they made for us!
My very first mothers day gift from my daughter!!!! Yep, I'm sniffling
