Twins turn 2!

The more kids you have the faster time flies! August 7th was my littles birthday. We played it off and did not do anything out of the ordinary seeing as it was a school day and they were not adjusting well to school. We saved all the sugar and fun for their party the following weekend.

I wanted to travel to one of our local family friendly resorts but I was out voted by Mr. T & Miss C. Miss C wanted a water slide AGAIN and Mr. T wanted what ever was cheeper. I wanted to keep it simple and easy so we just invited a few close friends and neighbors over.
We had a afternoon of water sliding, pizza and lots of cake!

And when your guest are gone...skinny dipping!

6th Birthday Post!

I never know how I want to write these post. To Miss C or about Miss C. Do this time I'm writing about her. Yet writing is not half as bad as trying to pick out a few pictures, just a few, when I want to post all 40,000 of you!
Campbell, I Hope you enjoy reading this in a few years. Love you as endlessly as the waves in the ocean!
Mommy

My first baby turned 6 this week! Holy Cow! I must say I did something right with this kid! She is so sweet, caring, smart and pretty. She is seriously the best big sister. She is a mother hen to "her" twins and a good friend to others.
She has a sassy streak when it comes to getting up in the mornings & I'm getting a taste of the tween years that are ahead. She loves school and is testing well into 1st grade curriculum.
She is OBSESSED WITH ALL THINGS FROZEN! Thanks again Disney!
She is very good at most anything she tries once she gets past being shy to try new things. Currently she is in Tae Kwan Do, golf & art history.
Last week she lost her first tooth and insist it stay in it's box on the kitchen counter for our viewing pleasure.

45.5 inches tall (57%)  and 47 lbs (75%) size 6 clothes & size 12 shoes.

Parties, Parties and more Parties

It goes in phases.

First the invitations roll in. I pile them up sit at my desk and do what I call "calendering." I love paper. I would even go as far as to call it a fetish.  I really do judge people by their choice of stationary! I know stupid but I do. I love the design, pictures, quality of paper all the way down to the etiquette  that goes into sending invitations, announcements & thank you notes.

Phase two: planning. What do I need to attend, want to attend & have to skip. Consult with T to see what he is going to attend. Then plan sitters for adult only events.

Phase three: Gifts. I try not to even know what I spend on gifts each month. If T knew he would die! In July I have purchased
4 birthday gifts
2 baby shower gifts
1 baby gift
2 bachelorette gifts
July has 9 events! There are only 4 weekends in July so needless to say I must pick and choose.

Phase four: Deliver gifts, mail cards and attend events.

Who knew a 2 year old would have such a busy social calendar! Between the 3 of us the calendar stays really packed. I actually drove myself nuts the first year Miss C was born. I did not have the ability to say no. T told me I was not allowed to host ANY events this year. That sort of worked. I have only hosted Miss C's 2nd birthday party. Unlike last year when I thought I could do it all. (3 baby showers, class reunion, 100 person birthday party for Miss C, play dates ect. )

Seriously I have a problem with over committing!
My new years resolutions was I Can't do it all and I am not the cruse ship director!
I'm getting better...

A busy 2 weeks ahead

I wanted to make a little blog now about how busy the next two weeks will be so that when I look back and can't remember why I did not blog I will see that I excused myself ahead of time !

We are exactly 1 week till we leave for Beaver Creek, Colorado and three weeks from Campbell and Trey birthday party with a few events in between. This week is filled with appointments, pick up some new ski gear that I really need (I swear) and a list of things I need to get done for the party. Campbell with go to the farm Saturday the 6th, the Collins and the Fierke's head for snow on the 7th! That will give me one week to do every thing for the party when we get back.

Speaking of the party, the guest list is growing and growing. After last year's 100 person guest list I decided to scale it down...ok Trey might have forced me to, but there are just some people I want there to see Campbell turn 2!  Not to mention my family alone is 10! I thought last year was perfect but this year is even more fun to plan. Campbell's personality is really coming out and I wanted the party to be all about what she loves... Sweets, colors and Yo Gabba Gabba! We are having the party at our house this year and yes I am nervous. I have never had that many people over before and our year looks like crap from all the freezes. Maybe I can talk my green thumbed mom into planting a few flowers for me!

Here is a look back at some first Birthday pictures... How can she be 2 already!!!!
