Trey's crappy windshield wipers

Since I have known Trey he has been driving the same old ratty Tahoe "Bessy". Bessy has the most annoying windshield wipers that make an awful noise every time they move! Many of us have been begging T to do something about it! Well now Campbell thinks they are the funniest things ever.... does not look like he will be replacing them.

Love from Mack Brown

I just had to share this cuteness! Mack signed Campbell's piggy bank for her. I figure any man that makes 5 million dollars a year is a good person to autograph an piggy bank!

The potty update! The future is looking bright

Hip Hip Hoary! I don't want to jinks myself but wow that was easy! Overall potty training was a breeze! That is if you are not bothered by poop and pee sloshing around in the potty in the back seat of your car. It's Monday of week 3 and I am happy to report that in week two we only had 2 1/2 accidents. A half you ask??? Well daddy was tickling her so I don't think it was her fault so I'm only calling it a 1/2. I only have to ask her about every hour rather then the nagging every 5 or 10 min when we started. I sounded like a broken record and I realized by last week I was driving us both nuts. I just had to trust her a little to tell me when she has to go and sure enough she will. Sometimes she will even go the bathroom by herself with out help.  Often times toilet training goes well then they suffer a set back; let's keep our fingers crossed that we are over the hump and will only get better from here.
Only  16 days till our first road trip and we don't want to potty in the car seat!

C & C thats the Collins and Cars!

Yep the Collins are in the market for a new car. This totally stresses me out! I love cars (I'v had 11 over the last 15 years)  Trey knows nothing about cars and has never actually bought a car and  has had 3 tahoes in a row, variety is the spice of life, well not for Trey!  If you know Trey it will come as know surprise that he has researched the car buying process down to what county has the cheapest taxes to buy in. He was up at 4 am this morning on the computer "researching" Since we have 2 Tahoes now we want to get something smaller. We shopped from 11 am to 6 pm with Campbell in tow! She defiantly tested the durability of every make and model we looked at! I don't recommend taking a toddler car shopping. We could never test drive a car at the same time ( not fun to move the car seat around) which doubled the time it took to look at each car!

Here are the front runners ...

The Mother's Day Note You Deserve

Better late than never right? We have not had internet since early last week so I did not get to post this till now. But it's never to late to celebrate motherhood. It comes in so many forms and styles, phases and is ever changing and challenging. To those of you who are mothers you get it with out it have to be explained that no words can ever describe what being a mother is like. I never thought the word selflessness sounded enjoyable. Let me tell you its a verb and thats what good mothers are, selfless. They put others first. That includes sitting on a cold tile floor for 20 minutes reading "Hand, Hand Fingers, thumb" for the 65th time this week while a two year old learns to poo on the potty!

Mother's Day Tea

Today the mothers were invited to SITH to have a tea party with our children. It was super special to get to spend the morning with my baby having tea and cucumber sandwiches! After we finished tea we went into the classroom and did Montessori work with the kids and had circle time. Last time Campbell was a total wallflower when I was in the room. Today she really participated in all the activities pulling me along to play too! When it was her turn to dance she jumped up and did a jig! I was so proud of her, she is really becoming a smart little girl. Where oh where did my clingy baby go? At the end of the day the kids gave all the mommies a little project they made for us!
My very first mothers day gift from my daughter!!!! Yep, I'm sniffling

bye bye diapers... Hello Panties!

Gulp, We got the go ahead last Wednesday in Campbell's spring parent/ teacher meeting that she was ready to toilette train. I should be thrilled and in a way I am but dreading it at the same time. Potty training is a huge commitment on a parents behalf. There are lot's of accidents and messes and ... well I hate messes! Over the last 6 months I have introduced Campbell to the potty and she likes it and knows how to use it. But it's time to go cold turkey! Montessori has a very defined method of potty training, good thing I like it and agree with it.
We are a on the go family and that can make toilet training more difficult. Even if I carry the potty chair with me how fast can I wip the car over, get a 5 point harness unbuckled and on the potty before it is to late! So thanks to AT&T requiring me to be at my house between 8-5 Wed & Thru I thought no better time than this week.
Today has been a HUGE success so far. All tee tee and poo poo's have been on the potty! Even when we cheated and went to lunch at the Hub with Daddy and Wendi, Campbell told me she had to go potty and she did! It's 7 pm and she is still accident free. Wish us luck!
